La Aurora Cigars x Aged Rum Flight

Join us at Henry's for a night pairing La Aurora cigars with a flight of four aged rums. There's no single distillery behind the bar this time; the flight pulls four different houses together, from Bacardí's ultra-premium Facundo to a solera-aged Zacapa. La Aurora's Nico Magana will be on hand, and Garrett and Roger will walk each table through the pours. $50 gets you a half ounce of all four, paired with a La Aurora cigar. Between now and the event, every 10 La Aurora cigars from the humidor also puts your name in for a custom La Aurora golf bag, drawn the night of.
The flight
Four aged rums, each from a different house, poured side by side and paired with a La Aurora cigar. $50 for a half ounce of each.
Facundo Paraíso XA
Bacardí’s ultra-premium bottling, blended from reserves aged 11 to 23 years in white oak and finished in French XO cognac casks. Vanilla, almond, and oak open into pipe tobacco, cedar, and walnut skins, closing on toffee. It arrives in a decanter modeled on 1920s Havana, cased in camel leather.
Flor de Caña 18
Distilled in Nicaragua and aged 18 years at the base of the San Cristóbal volcano, in bourbon barrels sealed with plantain leaves and bottled with zero sugar or additives. Caramel and roasted nuts up front, then baking spice, toasted oak, and butterscotch.
Ron Zacapa 23
A Guatemalan solera blend of rums aged 6 to 23 years, made from virgin sugarcane honey and matured at 2,300 meters. Caramel, vanilla, and cacao lead into dark chocolate and dried fruit, drawn from casks that once held American whiskey, sherry, and Pedro Ximénez.
León Jimenes 110 Aniversario
Aged 10 years, eight in American white oak and two in French, with only 3,000 bottles released a year. Vanilla, caramel, maple, and apricot move through toffee, brown sugar, and cocoa to a finish of honey, dark chocolate, and tobacco leaf.
